Crystal Wellman - Founder + Master Aesthetician + Traveler
Crystal Wellman is a trained Master Aesthetician so taking care of the skin is her greatest passion! Crystal creates most of our products by hand selecting every ingredient used and carefully choosing those that are gentle and safe for the skin, for the environment and for your family.
How did Sugar + Spruce come to fruition? "Morgan and I attended a soap making class in Northern Virginia, so I started making soaps and lotions for myself and my many skincare clients. The response was overwhelming and I saw an opportunity to provide Fredericksburg, and the region, with quality, healthy, carefully formulated personal care products."
Crystal's favorite weekend activities - "This year has been an exploration into food and culture for me. Traveling and learning about different cultures and their relationship to food has made me take a deeper look a how I shop and prepare foods.
Favorite things to do - "Heirloom gardening is the best! I love to use fragrant organic flower blossoms to make tinctures and glycerites for personal products as well as all natural perfumes. I have several heirloom rose gardens on my hobby farm so naturally Spring is my favorite time of the year. Recently, I started collecting vintage perfume bottles and taking photography lessons."
Crystal is from Hawaii so it's only natural that she loves everything about nature and natural skincare.

Morgan Wellman - Co-Owner + Bright Idea Woman + Fearless Leader
With a Business Management degree from the University of Mary Washington, Morgan is the woman behind the magic that helps make your Sugar + Spruce experience so special. Leading in-store and online operations, Morgan is there for whatever help you may need!
Morgan’s favorite things to do when not working - "I'm constantly on the go, so when I have free time, I really like to relax! Most of the time you can find me hanging out with my boyfriend or cuddling with my kitty Sasha reading a good book or binging a new tv show!"
Morgan’s Hobbies - "I am very much ADHD so I am the kind of person who loves to try all sorts of things. Master of none but always having fun! One of my favorite things to do right now is crafting demi-fine jewelry utilizing pearls and gemstones to create modern, minimalistic pieces. Checkout Belladonna and Co. to learn more!"
