After years of anticipation, Goolrick’s has officially announced its grand reopening: Friday, August 7th at 11 am. And while that news alone is enough to make longtime locals cheer, we’re thrilled to share an extra‑sweet surprise…
Sugar + Spruce is joining the celebration with a curated selection of our best‑selling bath and body treats on their shelves.
That’s right: not one, but two Fredericksburg icons are coming back at the same time. One historic. One delightfully cheeky. Both ready to bring joy back to the community.

And for us? It feels like coming home. Just a block away from our original shop, Goolrick's has been a part of our story too. Stepping through their doors again brought back so many memories of Morgan sitting at the counter with a sandwich and a milkshake on her lunch break or catching up with friends before a shift. Getting to share those memories with her Fiancé during their soft open lunch earlier this week was so special.
Sugar + Spruce spent 13 years building our roots in Fredericksburg before expanding to Richmond, and it feels so right to be back on Caroline St. again. Being part of Goolrick’s revival is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with the city that shaped us while supporting another beloved local institution. We couldn’t be more honored to be a part of this new chapter!
